Structure


IMIA Test Instrument Structure

The MIAC contains two parts:

1. Written Exams
2. Oral Exams

The candidate will have to pass the written exams to be able to take the oral exams.

Written Exam
1. Basic human anatomy and medical terminology knowlege in English
2. Ethics, Roles, and Standards of the profession

Oral Exam
1. Integrated Interpreting Skills
2. Message conversions: medical discourse, low/high registers, memory
3. Sight translation
4. Simultaneous Skills (optional)
