To receive your complimentary IMIA membership,

please follow directions below.

We are happy to have a contingency of health care providers who have joined our mission to provide professional intepreting services to all patients who need these services. We are hoping to get more members who can give us the provider perspective, and work collaboratively with us in better serving these patients.

In an effort to reduce health care disparities related to language access the IMIA is conducting a survey on providers' perspectives regarding professional medical interpreters. This survey should take no more than 5 minutes of your time, is voluntary, anonymous and results will be reported only in aggregate form. To thank you for your participation, we are offering a complimentary 1-YEAR Provider Membership to you. The IMIA is now forming a Providers Division for providers who are interested in the issues of interpreting, cross-cultural communication and language access.

This promotion will end June 30, 2008. Results will be presented at the 2008 IMIA Conference in Boston MA,(see http://www.mmia.org/conferences/default.asp) and will be posted on our website at www.imiaweb.org on the providers page in the join us section. To qualify for a complimentary 1-YEAR IMIA membership, please complete our PROVIDER OUTREACH SURVEY. We value your feedback, and would be grateful if you took advantage of this offer and would respond to our survey questions in an effort to better understand your needs.

Once you finish the survey, please go to http://www.imiaweb.org/join/application.asp and fill out the membership application as a provider and submit at the bottom of the application page.  This will bring you to a page to pay, but please ignore, as that part will be taken care of by us.  You will not be prompted by the survey to do this, you must go to the application link, apply and submit in order to receive your complimentary membership.
